Products currently under development by this project include -

  1. Four high school level place-based curricular units for teaching integrated hydrology and computational modeling of Earth systems. Curricular unit resources include lessons, videos, Netlogo models, and assessments.

  2. Validated learning progressions addressing hydrology, data sense-making, and computational thinking.

  3. A digital support platform to facilitate wide use of the Comp Hydro curricular units.

  4. Research findings concerning how integration of data modeling and computational thinking into science courses supports students’ and teachers’ development of model-based understanding of hydrologic systems and use of computational practices to model and interpret data.
