What is it?
On this page, you can edit existing species profile information or create a species profile for a species that does not yet have one. Where possible, information entered should be fully referenced. The species profile fields include:
Unique Features: Unique identifying features to distinguish it from other species and interesting facts about the organism
Invasion History: For non-native species, history of the invasion of a species into the United States.
Life History: Life history characteristics include information on the life cyle, behavior, and other information relating to the life and life-style of the organism.
Control Methods: These include information on what works where (i.e., what control methods have worked in what areas).
Enter the information into the text fields next to each field heading. When you are finished, click the 'submit' button to save your edits. You will be taken to the species profile page where you can review your changes/ editions. Click the 'reset' button to undo any change you have made to the page this visit.
Where is it?
Select the 'By species' under the 'Browse Data' heading on the main navigation bar on the left side of the website. Search for the species while logged in, and you will get an 'edit' or 'new' option in the profile column next to the list of potential matches. Click on this link.
